A classically elegant space was requested, a haven in a home with 3 young sons, nothing trendy or fussy. The Homeowners wanted to enlarge Master Bath by incorporating existing closet area. Create closet in adjacent bedroom that was to be a real statement.  Remodel dark Master bedroom by changing unused existing bay window to a balcony, changing fireplace finishes, adding lighting. Remodel Master Bath, including separate water closet for toilet and bidet, steam shower, with separate vanities with adequate counter space and storage areas. 

Basement Project in McLean

This is dark, unfriendly basement was remodel to be more family-friendly by updating function and finishes, increase light level, storage, ease of circulation, develop Craftsman style, in clear hues, clean lines and build an addition to excavate about 3’ of earth under an 18 year-earlier addition, which was then enclosed to create additional space for a playroom, add space for the new bathroom and guest room expansion.

Living Room Project in Fairfax

The cramped interior living space of this contemporary ranch was transformed into a spacious and airy place for this couple’s busy social life. There were numerous pieces of art that needed a better home, and a baby grand piano that had long lived in the basement that the homeowners desired to bring into their living space.

This conservatory addition newly remodeled family room features a two-sided fireplace, high ceilings, and large expanses of glass—and demanded a décor that emphasized its newfound coziness.

This townhouse kitchen was so small and cramped that only one person could be in it at a time. The homeowner wanted the kitchen to be integrated with the rest of the living space in function and aesthetic, as well as adding a touch of whimsy and exotic intrigue.


Great Room Addition in McLean

This large great room addition serves as a gracious, comfortable and informal gathering place that connects to the dining room and the kitchen, making entertaining for large groups easy. The homeowners wanted a red room, but had tried that previously by making everything in a room red, and were not happy with it. 


Kitchen, Living Room, and Dining Room Project in Great Falls

The original 40-year old house had a large underused living room, a dining room that was too small, a very dark family room, and a kitchen that was closed off from the living spaces. So they took down the wall between the Kitchen and the Dining Room, and the Dining Room and the Family Room. The Living Room would live like a Family Room, with overflow to the Sunroom just beyond. 


Living Room and Dining Room Project in McLean

After 3 years of living in Paris, the homeowners brought back dining furniture and antique French casegoods, needing all other furnishings for the formal Living Room and Dining Room in their home.  The clients wished it to be styled in a Parisian mode, but comfortable. Much more light was admitted, giving a focal point to each room, and creating a French niche for furniture that allowed a more gracious traffic flow.
